Well I hope the Coakley campaign people took a well deserved day-off yesterday. The Scott Brown team certainly didn't, but more on that later today.
First, let's catch up on some links. On to the morning roundup:
--The Wall Street Journal offers a report on the election night results.
--The Boston Globe's Alex Beam covered the election night parties of the three Democratic candidates who didn't win.
--The Globe's Brian Mooney writes that Coakley started out in front and never looked back. And Michael Levenson reports on Scott Brown's victory.
--The New York Times profiles both Martha Coakley and Scott Brown.
--WBUR's Meghna Chakrabarti reflects on the Steve Pagliuca she came to know during the campaign.
--In yesterday's Morning Fix, Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post writes: "WHAT WE'LL MISS MOST: A terrific Twitter feed -- @kennedyseat -- that kept us well informed about the goings-on in the race." Thanks!
--The Middlesex County Libertarian Examiner interviews independent candidate Joe Kennedy (more on him later).
--The Globe's Matt Viser and Eric Moskowitz write that Brown will come after Coakley with everything he has and she will do her best to ignore him.
--The New York Times notes that Bloomberg's endorsement did little to help Khazei.
--The Boston Globe's David Abel writes on the low turnout.
--The Herald's Dave Wedge writes that Steve Pagliuca bought some name recognition.
--Viser also reports on yesterday's Democratic unity event, at which Coakley's three vanquished foes all joined together to pledge their support to her campaign.
--The Boston Herald's Hillary Chabot says Steve Pagliuca and Alan Khazei have both ruled out challenges to Democratic Governor Deval Patrick.
--Yvonne Abraham writes on the state's historic first step.
--WBUR's Deborah Becker was at Khazei's election night party and reports on the scene.
--Joan Vennochi says it's the "dawning of a somewhat new day."
--Jessica Van Sack reports on the Emily's List and Martha Coakley's foundation of women. She also writes that this race is not a "done deal" for Coakley.
--Kevin Cullen notes the absence of blood (and voters).
--The Herald's Jessica Heslam quotes one political expert who wants to seem some action in the next round of debates.
--Ed Mason reports on the possibility of a Scott Brown upset.
--Scott Brown is already off and running, signing a "no new tax" pledge.
As I mentioned, I will have more on Scott Brown's big day yesterday and our other ballot contender later on.
The next race begins. A post-election morning roundup.

Who will be the first journalist to ask Martha Coakley how different, and what she means when she says different, when she claims to be "a different kind of leader"? ...or is this just another gender pitch? After they ask how different, they should ask in the mold of whom, Gloria Steinam? Sen Feistien social liberal, war hawk? When it comes to civil rights, does she have the heart of a liberal lion?
