A law firm representing Republican Senate candidate Jack E. Robinson has asked the internet host of an anonymous attack website to immediately discontinue service to the site and identify the author. The site in question, wackerobinson.com, sprang up yesterday, along with a twitter account that has been posting messages that could potentially be disparaging to Robinson's Senate campaign.
In a letter to 1&1 Internet Inc., a copy of which was emailed to kennedyseat.com by the Robinson campaign, Robinson's law firm notes that, "Due to the nature, content, and timing of the posting on the Subject Site, we are concerned that the site may present violations of election law by individuals or entities associated with or supporting other candidates for the Senate seat."
The letter does not specify which campaign the Robinson team feels is responsible for the site.
I'll have more on this story as it develops.
Jack E. Robinson demands that attack website cease and desist, identify author.
