Said Brown:
“I’m shocked that Martha Coakley would issue a white paper on national security and fail to mention the necessity of winning the war in Afghanistan, preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and the need for a vigorous system of missile defense to protect ourselves and allies from a catastrophic attack. These are the measures that will make Americans safer at home and abroad.”Apparently the Brown Camp wasn't reading Martha's blog two days ago when she unveiled her plans for Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, etc. Although he's right in reporting that she didn't mention a missile defense system.
Update: Brown spokesman Felix Browne checked in with me this evening to offer some clarification on the statement:
"Just to clarify, it didn't say that she's never talked about these issues. I would hope that she [Coakley] would have addressed them in some way. But to put out a formal white paper on national security and not list them is shocking. The threat from Afghanistan and Iran are among the greatest facing our nation, and a lack of support for a strong missile defense system only enhances that threat."I hope to have more on Scott Brown's missile defense position later this week.

Sheesh- no wonder we only worry about December 8th!
Scott Brown is such a lightweight--he's probably going to float away.
we in massachusetts are very much aware of our heritage and so our gift To America was a real hero. It was not Kennedy's seat, it was ours. Brown is a Lt.Colonel in the Guard and does not believe should spend tax dollars defeding terrorists who want to kill us. He is a humble man who knew how important his role is. About six weeks ago, his campaign was slugging along, little money, just us....the people and we came through, we made signs, collected money and are proud we helped him win. Kennedy did his job and his family had forty years reign but now it is a new gneration....a real JFK Brown Senator. ...just call me a pilgrim patriot.
