Scott Brown releases new video on energy, calls cap & trade "a giant new tax on energy."

In his latest YouTube video, Republican Senate candidate Scott Brown blasted the climate change energy bill pending in Congress, affectionately known as Cap & Trade.



In the video Brown says:

“I want to let you know about legislation that’s been filed in Washington that could have a big impact on your electricity bill. It’s called cap and trade. The idea is to charge utilities for the carbon they emit into the air. Of course we all want clean air. The problem is those costs get passed on to businesses and families. In last year’s presidential campaign Barack Obama admitted that his proposal for cap and trade would cause energy prices to skyrocket. That would be bad for our economy and bad for working families. I think a better idea is to pursue alternative sources of energy like wind, solar and nuclear. I hope you’ll join me in opposing cap and trade. America can’t afford a giant new tax on energy."

It's certainly not a sexy issue, but it's an important one.
