Former MA Governor, U.S. Ambassador Paul Cellucci endorses Scott Brown.

Former Massachusetts Governor and U.S. Ambassador Paul Cellucci endorsed Scott Brown today in the race for U.S. Senate.

“Scott Brown is the only candidate in this race who understands that Massachusetts families and businesses cannot afford crushing new federal taxes on health care and energy,” said Cellucci. “While the Democrats offer up new taxes that will worsen and prolong this recession, Scott Brown will fight for pro-growth policies that put people back to work.”

Cellucci served as Massachusetts Lt. Governor from 1991-1997, then as Governor from 1997-2001.  He later served as United States Ambassador to Canada, and won Oscars for his roles in "The Godfather Part II" and "Raging Bull."

“I am honored to have the endorsement of Paul Cellucci, whose steady fiscal leadership enabled a long period of economic growth and prosperity for the citizens and businesses of Massachusetts,” said Brown. “I intend to bring a similar approach to the U.S. Senate and will oppose any measure that could jeopardize our economic recovery.”
