Alan Khazei calls for second "jobs" stimulus; will lay out proposals tomorrow.

In an appearance tomorrow at City Fresh Foods in Roxbury, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Alan Khazei will call for a second stimulus package, focused 100% on creating new American jobs and stemming the rapidly accelerating mortgage foreclosure crisis.

According to an advisory issued by the Khazei campaign this afternoon, Khazei will emphasize his plans to create a New Jobs Tax Credit, pass clean energy legislation, increase support for small businesses and expand the nonprofit sector.

He will also call for additional "bold" programs, including:

• Keeping Americans in their homes by requiring banks to restructure home loans;
• Jumpstarting job creation in the residential weatherization market; and 
• Providing financing to cities and towns to convert schools and other public buildings to solar power.
