Scott Brown calls regional green house gas initiative a mistake.

In an interview on WEEI's Dennis and Callahan this morning (didn't WEEI used to be a sports station?), State Senator Scott Brown called Massachusetts's pact with 10 others states as part of the Regional Green House Gas Initiative a mistake, saying:
"We did something in Massachusetts a couple of years ago, joined a consortium which includes 10 states. It was almost a like a regional ‘cap and trade’ and I voted for it and we passed it, but we were told that the rates would go down and that everything would be hunky dory. We were sold a bill of goods and I wouldn’t do it again. And the ‘cap and trade’ that they’re trying to push through is almost a carbon copy of that and it’s not good for Massachusetts. It’s not good for the ‘mom and pop’ stores and people who are on very fixed and tight incomes to come up with another 1,700 bucks a year.”
